One of the biggest joys in life is to be living with purpose, passion and fulfillment, creating a life full of richness and abundance.
When you have discovered your WHY, a light turns on internally and radiates positive, warm and loving vibrations from the inside out to your loved ones and all those who surround you. A skip enters your step and your steps start to make small changes to your world.
So, you are here to ponder. Why you are here? What is your purpose, your passions? Why do you get up in the morning? What do you most care about? What sets your world on fire? What makes you feel connected to yourself and others?
When you find that WHY, life changes, it flows with a graceful purposeness that will make you feel alive and energized.
My airspace
30,000 feet in the air traveling home from a trip to Noosa recently I pondered my WHY. To me air space is the most calming and relaxing place. It’s like I find myself in a mini mediation, an escape from reality, almost like a fairytale land where anything is possible.
With no phones, no deadlines just me, the sky and infinite opportunities, I allow my mind to wander. It is overcome with possibilities galore and an inner sense of positive energy. All of a sudden anything is available to me. I just need to believe in myself and in my dreams.
This particular flight I asked myself some questions around my WHY and came up with a host of options that had me skipping off the plane at my home base feeling excited and spirited.
Discovering your why in 5 simple questions.
- Are you living your life in alignment to what is important to you?
- What do you value most?
- What lights you up internally, and sends ripples of energy through you?
- Do you feel you are being authentic in all that you do?
- One big final question… What impact do you want to have on the world?
Some words on Impact
Again, what impact do you want to have on the world? What would you most like to see changed. It could be to do with animals, children, the environment or many other social or political topics.
The topic that makes you most emotional is normally the exact space where your WHY exists.
When I answered this question for me it all came down to the animals. If I could change one thing it would be to prevent animal cruelty, neglect, abandonment and abuse. I would have all animals’ emotionally and physically happy and healthy living in good homes, parks, sanctuaries just being their animal selves.
I am passionate about many other areas but the one that touches my heart the most is this. The one that sends me into an emotional meltdown when I read or hear stories about animals suffering, is this one.
To prevent the internal negative feelings I could turn my back on this area, remain clueless or in my own bubble, I could ignore the worlds negativity but for me I would prefer to learn how to deal with the heartache, learn to create acceptance for what our world is and start to make a difference, a least my own little difference.
Incorporating this more into my life will be fulfilling my WHY. I truly believe I have been put here on this earth to help care for and help animals. I feel such a strong connection with every animal I meet, I find it hard to explain. I have just had to come through an evolution of being able to cope with the distressing feelings that these stories bring me.
Break through your emotional walls and discover and start living your WHY and bring an impact and a change to this world from your individualist standpoint.
Be brave, face the fears, step out of your comfort zone, reflect, create and be an impact maker. The world and your soul will thank you enormously.
